Making Some Progress
I’m not quite sure when exactly things began to turn around but apparently all the little things I’ve been doing to try and get out of this depressive episode have begun to work! I wouldn’t say I’m completely out of it yet but I’ve definitely made some significant progress towards getting out of this depression and getting back to a level mood. That makes me happy and that further brings me out of my depression. Yay! As long as things continue to progress as they have, I am hoping to be out of this depression for the most part by next month. I have to keep working hard at getting out of the depression though. I can’t just coast out of it. I have to keep up everything that I’m doing… and probably do more.
So, what have I been up to lately? I’ve mostly been cleaning my rooms as per Project Spring Clean and getting my Funko Pops collection up to snuff with Project Pop Renewal. The latter is, for the most part, completed. I just need to decide whether to hang up a shelf or wait until I absolutely need it before hanging it up then a few other little details. As for the former, my rooms are about 90% cleaned up and I’m now half focused on finishing up the last bit of cleaning and half focused on decorating my cleaned rooms with various things. I have prints of my artworks that I had printed last year but never hung up plus fan posters and other memorabilia pieces that need to go up on my walls and curtains! I’ll write more about my progress with all that in a part two to my Project Spring Clean post coming up soon with some before and after photos… mostly “after” photos because the “before” was just too much.
I’m also trying to be an artist again since that’s just part of who I am and I’m not complete without that part of me being active. So far, all I’ve done is overhaul my Dream 9 Studios website to improve the design and layout (which is still something) and create a new “Notebook of Ideas”. While cleaning, I found some really old idea sketch for artworks from 2011-2012 which contained some good ideas I had long forgotten and for some reason had never done anything with. I then went through my previously current 2015-2020 notebook and resketched and updated my ideas as needed to create a new “Notebook of Ideas” that I will soon print out and put in a binder for 2021. Once again, that’s something. I’ve opened my art programs a couple of times but I just haven’t come up with anything to do in them yet. I will. I just need a bit more time. I can’t force it; never could. I’ll keep trying and giving myself plenty of opportunities to work on my art though.
I also plan to get back to work on updating my mods for all the fans of my Simularity website. I haven’t even played the Sims 4 since I went on my needed mental health break but I intend to change that really, really soon and get back to modding right after. I have several new patrons on Patreon and I don’t want to let them or any of my other patrons down. The Sims community is awesome and so many of them sent me words of encouragement during my hiatus and told me to take my time and focus on myself, to do what I needed to do to heal. That meant so much to me and I want to do something nice for them in return by creating the mods they’ve come to enjoy in their games. I plan to start up the game either once I finish this and a few other things online tonight or tomorrow morning if I get too sleepy tonight.
That’s enough for now. I am going to try to get a little more work done before I get too tired. Take care and thanks for viewing!
